Coming soon: the Best of ITs on Tour!
Best of ITs on Tour will premiere on Saturday 15 September in the Toneelschuur in Haarlem! For the first edition of this tour, the following three productions were selected:
- TickleMePink by Stefan Jakiela, Marijn Alexander de Jong, Karel van Laere, Jimi Zoet
- Gaan by Fleur van den Berg
- Vertreksvergunning by George Tobal
The jury selected these three short but striking performances out of all ITs performances of the 2011 and 2012 festival editions. Now you can see them –The very best that ITs has to offer – all together in one show that will bring you an entire evening of entertainment. You can see The Best of ITs on Tour in 17 theatres throughout the Netherlands. Make sure you don't miss out! Tickets can only be bought at the theatres.
Best of ITs on Tour is an initiative of Theaterzaken Via Rudolphi (TVR) in cooperation with ITs Festival Amsterdam. Due to the upcoming budget cuts in the cultural field, the future development of young theatre talents is at risk. Even though both the ministry for culture and the municipality of Amsterdam state that talent development will be an important factor taken into account with the decisions they have to make, the theatre production companies – usually the first step into the field for young theatre makers – are facing the largest cuts of all. With initiatives like Best of ITs on Tour, ITs wants to help young performing artists to bridge the first years after graduating from the arts academy, and to provide the audience with new state of the art performances by young performers.
